It’s been a long time since we last posted a tutorial. An so today, I’d like to show you how to make simple flowers using paper and gauze. I hope it will be useful to you and soon you show off your own flowers to our blog readers Let’s get to work!
Będziemy potrzebować:
- 4 wycinanki kwiatka z wykrojnika czy dziurkacza (u mnie Spellbinders Rose Creations) z papieru czerpanego 200g – dwa większe i dwa mniejsze
- Mata do wytłaczania
- Woda
- Papier do odsuszenia
- Dłutko do wytłaczania
- Tusz różowy Distress i aplikator
- Klej
- Pręciki 10 sztuk
- Gaza 10cmx 15cm
You need:
- Four flowers, die-cut or punched out (I used Spellbinder’s Rose Creations) from handmade paper — two small and two large ones
- Embossing pad
- Water
- Absorbent paper towel for drying excess liquid
- Embossing tool
- Pink Distress ink and an applicator
- Glue
- Stamens — 10 pieces
- Piece of gauze — 10×15 cm

Moczymy po kolei kwiatki w wodzie (licząc do 3) i suszymy ręcznikiem papierowym.
One by one, soak the flowers in water for 3 seconds and dry them with a paper towel.

Tuszujemy brzegi aplikatorem z tuszem.
Apply ink to the edges of each flower using the applicator.

Każdą z wycinanek, zanim wyschnie, ściskamy w palcach – każdy płatek osobno. Alby z płatka zrobiła się jakby harmonijka. I suszymy.
Before they completely dry, compress each flower into a shape reminiscent of a concertina using your fingers. And dry them.

Teraz bierzemy gazę i docinamy trzy „kółeczka”:
Take gauze and cut out three „circles”:

Tam, gdzie na zdjęciu są strzałeczki, wytłaczamy tak długo, aż brzeg się zaokrągli.
Following arrows in the picture, emboss the edge until it gets round.

Odwracamy kwiatka i tłoczymy na środku płatka jedną kreskę, taką, by pojawiło się wgłębienie. Najlepiej pokazuje to strzałka.
Turn the flower over and emboss a line in the middle of each petal. Just like the arrow shows.

Małym dłutkiem robimy jeszcze po dwa ślady (jak wskazują strzałki) bardziej dociskając przy środku kwiatka. Co powoduje, że płatek się wzniesie na górze.
Using small embossing tool, emboss two more lines on both sides of the line in the middle (see arrows). This will make each petal lift.

Na środku robimy kółeczko dłutkiem – powoduje to, że cały kielich kwiatu unosi się.
Again, using the embossing tool, make a circle in the middle of a flower. This will the whole calyx lift.

Bierzemy większy kwiatek i przyklejamy na niego kółeczko z gazy.
Take one of the gauze circles and glue it to the top of the large flower.

Przyklejamy drugi duży kwiatek, na to przyklejamy gazę. Przyklejamy mniejszy kwiatek i ostatnią warstwę gazy. I przyklejamy ostatni kwiatek.
Glue the second large flower to it and another gauze circle to the top. Glue small flower and the last gauze circle. Glue the second small flower.

Aby warstwy się lepiej skleiły, wytłaczamy środek dłutkiem.
To make all elements stick better, emboss a hole in the middle using the embossing tool.

Pręciki wiążemy sznurkiem, a sznurek przeciągamy przez dziurkę. To ułatwi przeciągniecie wszystkich pręcików. Na koniec sklejamy wszystko i kwiatek gotowy.
Tie stamens with a piece of string and thread both ends through the hole in the middle. This will make the stamens thread through it, too. Finally, glue all elements together and the flower is ready.
